GENERAL INFORMATION ON DATA PROCESSING

As a matter of principle, we only collect and use our users’ personal data to the extent that this is necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. The personal data of our website users is generally only collected and used after their consent has been obtained. An exception is made in those cases where prior consent cannot be obtained for factual reasons and processing of the data is permitted by law.

The processing of personal data is lawful under Art. 6(1) a) of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provided we obtain the consent of the data subject to processing activities involving personal data.

If it is necessary to process personal data for the purpose of executing a contract with the data subject, the legal basis is Article 6(1) b) GDPR. This also applies to processing which is necessary prior to entering into a contract.

The processing of personal data necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which our company is subject is lawful under Article 6(1) c) GDPR.

Processing which is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by our company or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject, is lawful under Article 6(1) f) GDPR.

The personal data of the data subject will be erased as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies. Personal data may also be stored if required by European or national laws, European Union regulations, laws or other legal provisions to which we are subject in our function as controller. Data are also erased if a period of storage stipulated in the stated norms expires, unless the data must continue to be stored for the purpose of entering or fulfilling a contract.

DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING

It is not necessary to provide personal data (e.g. name, address, e-mail, etc.) in order to use our online services.

CREATION OF LOG FILES (LOG FILES)

Every time you visit the website of Amprion GmbH, temporary information transmitted by your browser is automatically stored. The log file created records the browser type/version, operating system used, name and URL of the retrieved file, reference URL (the previously visited page), host name of the accessing computer (IP address) and the date and time of the server request. This data is not combined with other data sources. The storage and processing of this data is solely for the purpose of system security and optimisation of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1) f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to be able to offer you an optimised website on the one hand and to secure the system on the other. Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties and will be deleted after a period of 7 days.

CONTACT

It is certainly possible to contact Amprion GmbH via the e-mail address provided. In this case the user’s personal data which are transmitted with the e-mail are stored.

In order to process your request, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1) f) GDPR within the scope of our legitimate interest. In individual cases, processing may take place in the context of pre-contractual measures that are necessary for the provision of the service offered, pursuant to Art. 6(1) b) GDPR. The data is then erased unless the data is still required for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures. If Amprion GmbH is obliged to archive your personal data due to legal obligations, e.g. compliance with the retention obligations pursuant to the German Commercial Code (HGB) and the German Fiscal Code (AO), this data will be blocked for further processing. After expiry of the retention periods, the data will be deleted without delay and in accordance with data protection regulations.

Your personal data may be transferred to our service providers for support as a processor. There shall be no transfers to a recipient in a third country.

Your existing rights vis-à-vis us can be found in the section “Your rights” in the general principles of data processing below.

Involvement of other members of the group

If the enquiry relates to an activity of Amprion Offshore GmbH and this is necessary for efficient processing of the enquiry, your data may be passed on to the company in question. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1) f) GDPR in conjunction with Recital 48, as we have a legitimate interest in the transfer for internal administrative purposes.

NEWSLETTER

We send out newsletters with information about our company. Your e-mail address is required to register for the newsletter.

This data is processed for the purpose of sending the newsletter and on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1) a) GDPR. Consent is obtained during the registration process with reference being made to this privacy policy. You may withdraw the consent at any time. You can find a link for cancelling the newsletter subscription at the end of each newsletter. The cancellation does not affect the lawfulness of processing up to the time of cancellation. In the event of revocation of the declaration of consent, the data will be deleted unless it is necessary to continue storing the data, e.g. due to legal requirements.

Your personal data will be transferred to the newsletter mailing company Inxmail for support as a processor. There shall be no transfers to a recipient in a third country.

COOKIES

We use cookies on our website. A cookie is a data packet that is sent by a website when you visit it and is stored by your browser on your hard drive as a user of the website. If the corresponding server of our website is accessed again by you as a user of the website, the browser of your computer sends the previously received cookie back to the server. The server can then evaluate the information obtained through this procedure in various ways. Cookies can be used, for example, to control advertising or to make it easier to navigate a website.

A distinction is made between two types of cookies: temporary, so-called session cookies, and persistent cookies.

Session cookies are deleted automatically, if you close the browser. They save a so-called session ID, with which various requests of your browser can be assigned to the common session. This will allow your computer to be recognised when you return to our website. The use of session cookies is necessary so that we can provide you with the website. The legal basis for processing your personal data while using session cookies is Art. 6(1) f) GDPR.

Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a predefined period of time, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time. With the help of cookies, it is possible for us to track your usage behaviour for the above-mentioned purposes and to the corresponding extent. They are also intended to provide you with an optimised browsing experience on our website. Persistent cookies are used with your consent. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6(1) a) GDPR.

If you, as a user of the website, wish to prevent the use of cookies, you can do so by changing the settings of the internet browser you use, i.e. the program for opening and displaying web pages (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera or Safari). However, in certain cases, you may not be able to make full use of all the features of our website.

Amprion GmbH only transmits personal data to those recipients who require it for the respective legitimate performance of duties. Insofar as contracted external service providers receive personal data for these purposes, we ensure when selecting our partners that suitable technical and organisational measures are implemented and necessary agreements are concluded so that the processing is carried out in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations and guarantees the protection of the rights of the data subject. We may share personal data with:

OUR PROFILES ON SOCIAL NETWORKS

Amprion GmbH maintains publicly accessible professional company profiles on various social networks. We use these to publish and distribute our company’s content, offers and product recommendations and help us, for example, to promote direct exchange with our customers and interested persons.

By using one of these networks, a multitude of data processing operations are set in motion. This data is processed even if you do not have your own profile on this network. When you visit one of our profiles, your personal data is not only processed and may be stored by us, but also by the operator of the respective network. Personal data includes, for example, your name, age, e-mail address, photos and other information that you have voluntarily shared on the networks, as well as information about your usage behaviour and interactions with the content of the respective company profile. Your IP address may also be collected. There is no obligation on your part to provide us with your personal data in order to visit our company profiles. However, this may be necessary in order to use individual functions of our profiles (such as commenting on posts, contacting us).

Amprion GmbH has no influence on the data processing on the part of the operators triggered by your visit to the social networks, which may differ between the individual networks and are not necessarily transparent for us (e.g. the placement of cookies). For further information regarding details on the collection and storage of your personal data as well as the purpose, type and scope of processing, we would like to refer you to the privacy policies of the respective operators of the social networks.

The legal basis for data collection is thus Art. 6(1) b) GDPR. If the contact relates neither to a pre-contractual measure nor to a contract that you yourself have already concluded with Amprion GmbH, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1) f) GDPR within the framework of our legitimate interest in processing your request via this channel.

Your personal data will be erased as soon as the purpose for storing it no longer applies or you request us to erase it.
